Beyoncé recruits wheelchair-bound model Jillian Mercado to front her fashion range

BEYONCÉ recently recruited Jillian Mercado, a model and fashion blogger who has muscular dystrophy disorder, to promote her latest fashion range.

Jillian, who was signed to IMG Models last year, is one of the leading disabled models in the fashion industry and works tirelessly to fight the lack of representation in the fashion industry.

The 28-year-old, who runs popular blog Manufactured1987, revealed her excitement at being chosen to front Beyonce’s new range on Instagram.

“OK LADIES now let’s get in FORMATION! So BEYond excited to finally announce that I’m on the official Beyonce website!!!” she wrote.

“A special shout out to Queen Bee herself and the amazing team behind it,“ she added.

Singer Nomoreloss Reportedly Dies | Nigerian Twitter Reacts

This is heartbreaking!

According to several reports, singer Nomoreloss has passed on after battling an undisclosed illness since January 2016.

The news broke on KemiFilani’s blog and then owner of Naijahottestgist.com and Best of Nollywood Seun Oloketuyi went on Instagram to post an RIP message. On his message there have been several other condolence messages from fans and colleagues including CapitalFemi.

Nomoreloss’ social media page was last updated a couple of days ago on March 10.

Thieving cat caught with dozens of men's underwears and socks by its owner.

A kleptomaniac cat known as Brigit, has been caught stealing men's underpants and socks by her owner, Sarah Nathan. The 6-year-old Tonkinese cat has stolen 11 pairs of boxers and more than 50 pairs of socks since January. It even prefers matching socks.

Nathan has been attempting to return her neighbors' clothing by placing notes in mailboxes, to no avail. Due to her cat's increasing burglary behavior, she has taken to Reddit to notify owners so they can collect their underwears.

Nathan says that in a previous home, the cat wouldn't be particular in what she stole. Most Tonkinese cats are nocturnal hunters — but she has developed a curious taste of late.

"She was much less discerning, now she’s decided menswear is the thing, and it’s a very specific kind of underpants that she likes," Nathan said. 

"One will be at the front door and one will be at the back door - so she's obviously gone back to get the matching sock,"

Photo: Man arrested for stealing 7-month-old baby in Lagos

26 year old Happniess Umaru, has been arrested by the Lagos state police command for allegedly stealing a 7 month old baby at the Ijora area of Lagos state on March 16th.

According to a report by Vanguard, Umaru was intercepted by some police officers patrolling Eric Moore road Surulere. When he was questioned, Umaru first lied that he was the father of the boy but after much interrogation, he confessed to have picked up the baby inside a bush at Ijora Railway where he had gone to answer the call of nature.

When the police took him to the area where he took the child, they met with the child's mother, Patricia Victor who said she has been searching for her son since. Narrating how her baby boy disappeared, she said

“I laid my seven months old baby (Favour Victor) on the bed inside my house at about 8p.m., to buy food for my son. By the time I returned with the food for my older son, my baby had disappeared. I raised alarm and neighbours joined me in the search all thorough the night, but we did not find him. I did not know that police officers had arrested the man who stole my baby. Luckily, when they came the next day to investigate the case, they located me.”

Umaru will be charged to court today for child theft.

Rihanna Celebrates ‘Anti’ Returning to No. 1 on Billboard 200!

The Barbadian singer, Rihanna’s Anti album returned to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart, spending its second week at the top. The album moved another 54,000 units in its 8th week since release.

Anti is Rihanna’s second No. 1 album (following her previous studio effort,Unapologetic, in 2012) and her first to spend more than one week at No. 1.

Of Anti’s total units for the week, 17,000 were in pure album sales. The rest of its sum — a sizable 69 percent — was comprised of TEA and SEA units, thanks to the popularity of its tracks (like the smash single “Work,” which has spent four weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart).
